The 2026 replacement quietly switches to a new system with normal valve springs, and the character you can feel in the 937 right now ends with this exact bike. The first road bike that lets you learn a track move safely. Every other ABS you have ever ridden tries to stop the rear from locking, and this one manages the slide instead, with four levels of how much you want. Level 4 is careful for wet roads, Level 3 is for the street, Level 2 allows controlled slides, and Level 1 is full supermoto mode where the rear wheel is yours. In practice you tap the rear brake into a tight corner, rotate the bike toward the apex, and pick up throttle on the exit while the system keeps it recoverable. Supermoto riders have been doing this move on dirt track bikes for 30 years, and the Hypermotard is the first road bike that makes it safe enough to actually learn. A Bosch sensor reads lean, pitch, yaw and rear slip 100 times a second, and the system only steps in when the rear is about to get away from you.
